SSWISH (Skiers and Snowboarders Wish) is a group of skiers and snowboarders who wish to make a difference. Skiing and snowboarding are challenging and uplifting activities. We feel very fortunate to be healthy and able to take part in these sports and and we appreciate the fact that we have the freedom to do the things we love. Therefore, SSWISH would like to give back to the men and woman in our US military by raising money and awareness for an adaptive sports program. Adaptive sports help injured veterans heal their body and mind by offering them the opportunity to take part in challenging and uplifting sports and activities.
On January 16, 2015, SSWISH will be holding their second Ski-lay at Bristol Mountain to raise money and awareness for the OASIS Adaptive Sports Program. To participate, team members must raise money by asking family and friends to support their ski-lay challenge. The challenge is to keep your ski-lay team moving between 4-9 pm. Team costumes and themes are encouraged and breaks are welcome, as long at least one team member is always on the slopes. The goal is to have fun and raise money, but most importantly ski safely!! Food and beverages will be served in the Sunset Lodge loft. Prizes will be awarded to the ski-lay team that raises the most money, as well as for the most creative costumes. It’s a great ski event for an even greater cause.
So start your fundraising TODAY!! Last year SSWISH raised $14,000 for OASIS.

Talon’s Challenge has been an organized event at Beaver Creek in Colorado for ten years. The challenge is to ski over 24,000 vertical feet in one day on 14 black and double black diamond trails. These high altitude runs include the World Cup Birds of Prey downhill course as well as difficult mogul runs on Grouse Mt. and Larkspur Bowl.
